Health and Human Service Division 

 RESOLUTION 2010-240 RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 1999-45, 2000-35, 2002-52, 200273, AND 2009-71, CREATING THE SANTA FE COUNTY HEALTH POLICY AND PLANNING COMMISSION.

RESOLUTION 2011-2 AMENDING RESOLUTION 2010-240 TO CORRECT MINOR ERRORS

Shall recommend health and human services policies to the BCC; prepare and recommend approval of a yearly health action plan; identify and encourage the county pursue grants and partnerships; conduct a county-side health and human services needs assessment; evaluate the County’s ability address health care needs; and establish a region wide health planning initiative that coordinates the efforts with other public and private entities.

Shall consist of up to a total of 7 members from the following: a community representative appointed by each County Commissioner; a representative of a local hospital; a representative of a union representing healthcare workers and a representative from the City of Santa Fe from a department that represents and addresses health and human services activities. Also there should be representatives from the following: a community based healthcare center; from the Santa Fe Maternal and Child Health Planning Council; the Santa Fe County DWI Planning Council; the Santa Fe County CARE Connection Advisory Board; a medical doctor; the Edgewood Community; NM Department of Health Region II Public Health Office; behavioral health community providers; an alternative medicine practitioner; a member of the Senior Citizen community; a dental provider; a healthcare member from the correctional institutions and a representative from the healthcare community.
