The new County's Sustainability Office is here for you! We currently provide technical assistance for citizens seeking information on:
Since January of 2017, the Sustainability Division promotes energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, water conservation, waste steam reduction, increased recycling, sustainability in County operations, and greater County fleet efficiency. The program also supports sustainable projects in the County's residential and commercial sectors to promote a green economy that stimulates job creation and economic development. The Office is a direct outgrowth of clean energy policies and directives (Chapters 3, 7 and 8) Sustainable Growth Management Plan adopted by the County Commission in 2010 and the Sustainable Land Development Code (2016).
Our public outreach, education and technical assistance serves to all County residents and businesses, including those located within the city limits of Santa Fe, Edgewood, and Española. The County's Sustainability Office is available to your neighborhood or homeowners' association, business or industry group and other community events and forums to present helpful information about sustainability.
